11. Astrangia braziliensis
Astrangia braziliensis is a small hermatypic species. Its calices are separated with maximum dimensions of 7mm in diameter and 5 mm in height. Septal teeth are strong and papiliform. The live colony has a brownish orange color and can encrust shells and skeletal fragments.

Astrangia braziliensis is endemic to Brazil, and has affinities with Caribbean fauna. It is registered on the coast of Pernambuco, in the Todos os Santos bay, and in the area of Abrolhos, in moderately turbid waters commonly protected inside reef crevices.
