13. Phyllangia americana
Phyllangia americana is a small coral, with calices measuring, on average, 6 to 7 mm in diameter and 3 to 4 mm in height, but reaching 10 mm in diameter. The live colony is reddish brown.
Phyllangia americana is endemic to Brazil, and has affinities with Caribbean fauna. It has been observed on the coast of Ceará, Pernambuco and Rio de Janeiro states in shady places.
